Cycle to Work scheme is a UK Government tax exemption initiative introduced to promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution. It allows employers to loan cycles and cyclists' safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit.

A recent and very welcome addition to the stable of providers is the Green Commute Initiative, who operate a unique scheme, fully authorised and regulated by the FCA. Their scheme has higher potential savings and better terms for employers and employees, particularly the absence of any fees at the end of the hire period to transfer ownership of the bike to you.
