About us
Noah began Mamachari London in 2012, importing used 'mamachari' bicycles from Japan, refurbishing them and selling them through our tiny store on Ashwin Street, Dalston. Since then we have grown and evolved, moving to a larger shop on Forest Road, Walthamstow. Sadly, we are no longer able to source these used bikes. We now stock a range of British bikes including those by Brompton, Ridgeback and Forme, as well as the highly regarded Swiss brand Scott, who are best known for their high quality road bikes and MTBs. In prime place in our lineup is the E-utility and folding bike brand Tern, whose GSD and HSD models have revolutionised urban family transport for multiple passengers, small and large. Our team is small and now consists of Noah looking after the workshop and Julian, who runs the front of house. They are ably assisted by Keanu, who very soon move from being a part time technician to full time apprentice.
